The Lord can only be loved with all Heart & Soul

If thy children take heed to their way, to walk before Me in truth with all their heart and with all their soul, there shall not fail thee (said He) a man on the throne of Israel.
1 Kings 2: 4

This was the promise made to David by God. The Lord set aside a prize for David's bloodline on the condition that they put the Lord God before them and walk the Lord's path. In turn they would be rewarded with a throne of rule. But this is not just how the throne of Israel worked in ancient times, this is how the very kingdom of God works for us in the modern era. In order to gain this glory of the Lord's Kingdom we too must follow the Lord's path and put Jesus Christ before us. In turn the Lord will give to us His Kingdom and Glory. Literally the Lord said that we will reign with glory in Him. But we MUST put the Lord before ourselves and follow the path that Jesus Christ walked.

God is the best and expects the best. He has reserved His kingdom for us all. He wants to share it to us all. But only a selection can enter. This selection are those who have always put the Lord before them. They have always loved the Lord with all their heart and all their soul. These are the ones who have truly followed the Lord and acted as if Jesus Christ was their one and only king. These are the saints and the Lord's kingdom belongs to them. This is how we must be.

We must carry the Lord before us at all times and in everything we do. What does this mean to put the Lord before us? It means to put Jesus Christ before ourselves. To place His priorities over our selfish desires and wants. To stop always trying to feed our flesh but rather to carry out the Lord's commandments with all our heart and all our soul. So instead of what I want for myself today, let me do what the Lord wants done today.

The Lord promised David that there will always be a son of Israel on the thrown, but only if they put God before them and follow God with all their heart and soul. In order for us to rein in glory and the Lord, we must do exactly that.

This is why being lukewarm and only a weekend Christian will not do. God is not looking for double-agents or half-filled tanks. He's looking for the serious and the best. God doesn't want militia. He wants full time soldiers and special forces. Being lukewarm is like having one foot in the Lord and the other in the world. This displeases God who demands that we rather have both feet in foundation on Him. He wants people who have the flame burning inside of them to be able to share His kingdom with. This is the kind of Lord we serve, a Lord who wants to share His most greatest of kingdoms with us, the meager.

The Lord has the right to demand us to put Him before us. After all it was He who put us before Him at the cross. He was naked and shredded on the cross because He wanted to put the human race before Himself. He was God the Son and should have been always clothed and wrapped in glory, but instead He chose to have Himself broken and naked and humiliated for the sake of mankind. He has done all this for us, so we should do everything we can for Him. Like I said before, The Lord deserves the best. He deserves to have people come to Him with unblemished garments, He deserves people to speak His name only in praise, He deserves to have willing servants to rise to His occasions. He is the Son and only those who He sees worthy will touch Him.

So when we put the Lord before us we must give up those evils that we once loved for His sake. God gave up His very Son for you and me. We should in turn give up all those carnal evils and sins for God. I once had many movies and songs that I liked, but they displeased God. So I eventually had to destroy them for the sake of His glory. Put no one or nothing above the Lord and that kingdom will be yours.

The Lord has taken us out of the world. Thus we must not act as the world is. We must act as children of the Kingdom of Heaven. We can't be one of the Lord's own and get high all the time. We can't be one of the Lord's own and blaspheme and curse like the world does. We can't be one of the Lord's own and destroy His temple by sharing our beds with hordes of other people. We can't be one of the Lord's own and view evil media like pornography. We must be as the Lord's own and not the world's own.

Thanks for letting me borrow this Lord...

Less/before any person should boast about how much money they make, what cars they drive, or how much fame and power they have, they should know that all of it is given from God. I don't care if you are someone who strongly believes in God or someone who doesn't believe in God at all, all that we have is borrowed from the Lord. He created everything and thus owns everything. Whether the very hairs on our head turn gray or not is on account of the Lord. Even if someone worships an idol or the devil himself, their power and life still comes from the Holy God in Heaven. Don't pat yourself on the back too hard for having a lot of money or beauty, because God can take that away like a twig on the beach. Especially in this ailing economy, that looks all the more possible.

This is why I get mad when people say nonsense like “It's because of Jesus that my ancestors were killed”. First of all, when was it ever recorded in history that Jesus suddenly came down from Heaven, took a rifle, and pointed it at your distant grandfather's face? But I will tell you that because of the Lord's mercy, you are now driving that fancy car and living in that big house of yours. And also because of Jesus Christ you have air in your lungs that you use to blaspheme His Holy name every day. That's what you got because of God the Father. Let me go a little further for a minute here too. Because of God's Son Jesus Christ, you also got a chance to turn away from blaspheming His name like an idiot, becoming forgiven, and becoming saved from falling into Hell. That's what we got from Jesus Christ and it took Him His whole life of pain and torture to give us that gift! So how do you now say that Jesus killed your ancestors? It was actually guys like you and me who killed Jesus! That's something we are all guilty of!

Even those men who rule the nations get their authority from God. It's ridiculous to see how many worldly rulers think they have the right to abuse their subjects as if they own them as property. We look through history at communist rulers who use to persecute, execute people, send them to gulags, separate them from their families, bar people from worshiping God, and then order people to worship themselves. Even today we have world leaders who believe they can sign an innocent baby's death warrant and call it a “woman's right to choice”. Did these men suddenly forget that it was God's hand who laid the very foundation of this earth and His right hand which spans across the entire Universe. Everything is GOD's! All human life and the very nations of the world are God's. The only reason these world leaders have power is because they have been bestowed this authority from God Himself. God can give this authority and take this authority away as well. And that goes for everyone.

Ancient Persia was run by a king called Nebuchadnezzar. He had all the power in the world and many armies at his command. Yet all of this was given to Him from the God of Abraham. When he was given the choice to glorify God with the power he was bestowed, he instead chose to glorify himself. He even erected a large idol of himself so others could marvel on. But that statue did nothing to help him because when God saw how Nebuchadnezzar chose to pay tribute to himself instead of the Lord, Nebuchadnezzar became as a beast of the field. Because of the way Nebuchadnezzar chose to worship himself and not give God His due credit, the former king ran our broke poor. For years Nebuchadnezzar's food was the grass of the field. His hair looked like the worst atomic G-Fro you ever saw. Even his nails, which weren't cut in years, looked like something an eagle uses to catch fish with! Indeed Nebuchadnezzar ended up looking more like a grazing cattle than a king. He chose to pay tribute to himself and thus rely on himself and this is what happened.

Now knowing all this, who are we to look down on anyone? Who are we, because we are richer, healthier, stronger, or smarter, to look down on anyone who is not? We got our “lucky” break because the Lord gave it to us. So how do we feel that we are suddenly more special than those who the Lord has chosen to not have as much? Everyone observe this example for a moment: God has given a poor prophet a few dollars a week, but with the power, this poor man has chosen to glorify God with it. And even though the poor man has only meager rations, he still thanked God for what he had; saying “it is because of Jesus Christ's love that I get these gifts” At the same time God has also given another man excelled riches. But with those riches, this powerful man instead chose to exalt himself over God. He doesn't even care if God exists or not anymore. So which one of these men do you think is really the stronger guy and the better man? I would say the poor man who chose to glorify God with what he had. That man poor man is the better and stronger man. Yet this is only an example. I'm not saying that this applies just to people who God has given rule over nations. Many of us have been given power of some sort, whether it is the ability to lift 500 lbs to having the strength of lifting only 1 lbs. Either way, everything we have comes from God.

Our families and loved ones also come from the Lord. I remember hearing some guy who said he doesn't call God a creator because he himself created his daughter. Needless to say I though the guy was hilarious. Who is that blind and/or arrogant enough to think they can create anything? That man's daughter could not only have died during birth but he and his wife could have been baron from the start. As a matter of fact, the first man ever on earth only got up and walked because the Lord breathed the breath of life into him. God knows every child from before they were formed in the womb. And God created all the generations that came before them. So who are we to boast of creating any life, or anything thing at all? God made the fist that made the sword. God made the animal that became your dinner last night. God made the stone that the artist chipped into a statue of Zeus and Poseidon. God made the metal that became the coin with Caesar's image printed on it. God made the wood that was processed into book pages, that satanists and militant atheists use to print blasphemies on. God gave you the very next breathe in your nostrils that you used to say a curse word against the Lord with. The very penny in my pocket is a gift from God.

Even the very time we see tick by is borrowed by God. Yes indeed we are living on borrowed time. We do not know when our time of death will be. Everyone knows that most deaths are sudden and unexpected. No one tells you that you have 3 days to live before you get in a car crash or are struck with a sudden heart attack. There was a popular news story a while back of a woman who survived one of these plane crashes we've been having, only to have died in a car accident later on. You see, we are all living on borrowed time. So there's no better a time to live for the Lord than right this minute. Let's not use it foolishly on our own self-bloating and worldly riches.

The same goes for us Christians. How will we live with the time and power the good Lord has allowed us in this world? Will we seek pleasures of the world and fornicate with it? Or will we use the time God granted us to serve Him instead? How we spend today, tomorrow or next week is very important. We must use the time and power we have for the Lord. No matter what power was given to us or taken from us, everyone needs the Lord or else see judgment.

Without Jesus you can't have God

To stand in God's presence you have to be spotless and flawless because He Himself is spotless and flawless. After all He has no darkness in Him. Even the Seraphim which is an elite ranking of angel tends to cover their faces with their wings whenever they are in the presence of God.

The blood of Jesus Christ has redeemed us so we can come in the presence of God. Jesus Christ is our only advocate before the Father when we make the mistake of sin. Jesus Christ is the person who knew what is was like to be a man on earth and to be God the Son in Heaven. So in turn Jesus Christ is the only person who can bridge the gap between mankind and God the Father. Christ took on the nature of sin and overcame it. Christ took the keys of hell from Satan. Christ triumphed over the world with perfection. Christ was with God since the beginning. Thus only Jesus Christ is the only one who is worthy.

Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing. And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.
Revelation 5: 12, 13

When you pray to God, you are setting a petition before the Lord's throne. And obviously we as humans are no one to go before God in such a manner, but this is why I am thankful for Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ the Son is the only one worthy to go as our advocate before the Father. It is only through Him that we are able to set our prayers and petitions before the Lord's holy throne. So do you see now why it is impossible to go before God without going through Jesus Christ the Son first? Jesus Christ is the only one who is pure and because of Jesus Christ He is the only one who can hide our scars of sin. So when we pray we have to make sure to go through Jesus Christ first. That's why many times you hear the phrase “Through the love of the Son Jesus Christ, Amen” at the end of prayers.

Imagine the Sun in our solar system. The radiation given off from the Sun is so intense that if we were to be only several million miles from it we would get incinerated. Now how long do you think we would last in God's presence? So you can imagine that without the Son Christ being our very bridge to God, we would never get anywhere near God the Father.

Most of all without Jesus Christ we would not be able to overcome sin our life either. Christ set the example of perfection and we must follow it. He has said, be as perfect as the Father in Heaven is perfect. He wouldn't have said to follow such a path if it was impossible. The only way we can overcome sin in our life is by focusing on Jesus Christ. When we busy ourself by focusing on Him and the path He showed us, we no longer give eye to our sin. Just believing in Him is not enough for even demons believe Jesus Christ is Lord. We must follow Him and obey Him also.

Everybody is talking about future wars to come about and many people dying through all these upcoming horrible events. Some people are talking about making preparations and precautions to avoid disaster. But through making all these preparations and moving around, we forgot that we should first make our preparations with GOD! Even if the Rapture or World War were to happen next week, what if you were to die today? What if God were take your life tomorrow in a car accident or other circumstance, would you have been ready then. The Lord said wear the Armor of God at ALL TIMES. This means to be ready at all times because you never know when your end will come. And even people who make every safety measure in the world to ensure their survival, do they not know that God's judgment will be on everyman everywhere? The location where someone lives does not matter either, for God sees what's inside our hearts. We can live in on a battlefield or in Fort Knox, but God in the end will decide on who lives or dies. Foolish is a man who puts his trust in other things over God. Look at hurricane Katrina. Thousands died there and it wasn't even the time of the Lord's return to earth then. It just happened suddenly and virtually no one was prepared for that. We can hide from bombs, tidal waves, and forest fires, but we can't hide from God's judgment. Our only safety from God's judgment hand is Jesus Christ!

Do you remember how the Hebrews of Egypt were spared from having their firstborns dying? What they did was place lambs blood over their doors so that the angel of death would pass over them. This is what having Jesus Christ is like. When you place His blood over your soul and spirit, then that angel or death...that judgment of God will pass over you. Everyone stands before the Lord one day. Whether you stand before Him naked or whether you stand before Him in a white garment depends on the King Jesus. So don't trust in shelters, food stocks, or money surpluses for your salvation in trying times. You first and foremost protection comes from the arisen Son, Lord Jesus. A man who has Jesus Christ is a blessed man, because the Lord reforms Him, increases Him, improves Him and makes Him perfect. Strive for the Lord always.

The Christian and our Goal part 2: Harvest Praying

Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.
Matthew 9: 37,38

My brethren in Christ across the world. You must keep praying that the Lord raise up more harvesters to reap the great bounty unto Heaven's basket. For God wants to hear the righteous prayer. The harvest is still very great and the number of harvesters are very few. But trust that the Lord thy God will and is answering our prayers. For Jesus Christ Himself has ordered us to pray for these things.

Several times before I have prayed that God through Jesus Christ raise up more harvesters so that billions of people across the world get saved through Christ. Then recently I got a message from a young man, who at only the age of 10, gave me his testimony of how he was beginning his journey with Jesus Christ. And right there I realized that God has been listening to my prayers. By seeing this young man's testimony, God was showing me that He has already started raising up harvesters for His Kingdom.

So brethren we must continue to pray and never cease. Not just praying for harvesters but also praying for everything Christ has commanded us to petition before God the Father. With faith and trust in Him God is answering our prayers. Do not lack faith or fill yourself with disbelief for that only messes things up. God wants to see you trust Him fully and then many miracles happen.

As for us current harvesters who have already been raised up b the Lord, there are always things we can do. There is always something we can do to glorify the Lord and point our fellow man in His direction. For example; American and European Christians are blessed to have easy access to the internet. The internet can be a very useful tool in spreading the gospel of God very rapidly and efficiently. There is a myriad of ways we can use the internet in spreading the Lord's words. Some of us have websites or networks where we can upload the Bible or tell others our testimony of how we came to Christ. I personally use all my old websites to share electronic Bibles in multi-languages. There are many things to do so always ask the Lord what task He has for you.

Remember the prophets of old had it harder to spread the Lord's gospel. Back then men like the John the Baptist and Simon Peter had to travel from land to land. And what we have now at the push of a button, they only had the speed of a horse and rider. So let us not take the tools God has given us for granted and use them for evil things. Let's use every instrument we have as a means to glorify God.

Some of our brethren may not have many resources at their disposal but ask the Lord what you can do for Him. Also pray that He uses you as one of the tools of His kingdom. There is one underlying commandment we must carry out and that is:

Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
Mark 16: 15

Always carry faith in your heart too my brethren. Every time we fight this spiritual battle we fight it for the glory of the Lord which is in Heaven. In addition when we fight the battle, we fight it with the faith that God is going to save everyone we witness or pray to. We fight this spiritual battle with the faith that every testimony we share, every Bible we give someone, every writing of the Lord we make, every human we intercede in prayer for, or every street we preach on will help a person to become saved. And thus another individual is reaped unto the harvest basket of Heaven.

We don't want to be the only people in the Heaven. We want billions of people across the world to join us in the safety of the Lord's Kingdom and singing praises to the King of Kings with us. God Himself wants everyman to repent and follow Him. The flesh is nothing, the spirit is everything. Even when a someone dies their spirit lives on. Let us continue to work and pray so that many spirits become safe in the Lord's arms. Always know that you have a spiritual battle to fight and a spiritual war to win.

Poem Meditation: Testify of God's Glory

Remember brethren the words of our King, be a witness of God and sing!
For as the Father have loved Him so has He loved us
We are harvesters of Heaven, so let us all take of the Lord's Leaven
so that all mankind can come unto repentance to God
Testify to others of the Lord, and let your spirit and heart be on accord
to those things which the Lord has set us aside to do
Be obedient and follow, so that we will take up the cross each morrow
For a true disciple is one who works for Christ fervently
Faith the size of grain of seed, can cause the tallest mountain to bleed
For if you believeth in the Father, believe also in the Son Christ
Of God's truth be not afraid to speak, go and testify that blessed are the meek
For a lampstand is not to be hid but rather be lit brightly outside
To even those brethren who stutter, please do not be afraid to utter
that which is the beauty and perfection of the Lord our God
For even Moses slurred his speech, but he was still not afraid to teach
that even Pharaoh should acknowledge the Lord who is greater
Now let us all raise our hands to beseech, for none are out of His reach
For the King of the Jews sacrificed His blood for all mankind
Go now and spread God's glory, and share to others His amazing story
For the light of God can reach even the darkest of regions

Obedience is Hard

I was praying earlier today and I realized how easy it was for me to simply believe in God. As Christians I'm sure many of us have moved way past the level of believing whether God exists or not. To us and myself, God is more real than the very fingers on our hands. But we all understand that just believing in God is NOT good enough....we also have to OBEY Him! We believe in God: very good, but then again, so what? The demons in hell also believe in God and fear Him too! As a matter of fact, now that I think of it, the demons may be a bit more spiritually wiser than mankind because they also know that Jesus Christ is Lord. Can we say the same thing about many humans on earth? So believing in God is not enough, we must obey and follow God also.

Obedience to the Lord doesn't always tend to be easy either. While I was praying I asked God to make obeying Him as easy as believing in Him, but a wave suddenly hit me. I then realized Obedience to the Lord is often hard. Jesus Christ, the Son of God Himself, died by being obedient to God until the end. Jesus Christ's entire life was very difficult as He didn't even have a home during His ministry. Most of the apostles themselves also died by being obedient to Christ until the end. I honestly don't think that just believing in Christ the Son and God the Father is enough anymore. The Lord Himself says that the path to righteousness and God is a narrow path that few find. It hurts me too because sometimes I think if I am always following this path. It is written that He who endures until the END shall be saved. Becoming saved doesn't mean just uttering a few words of acceptance and then going about your own passions. Becoming saved really means that you have to glorify the Lord with your life and not cease until the day you die. When you are under the Lord, you no longer live for yourself...you live for God.

One way of getting better at obedience to God is always focusing on Christ. Keep your eyes fixed towards Jesus and you will improve in all ways. That is how we can overcome sin and our own hearts is by focusing everything on Jesus Christ. The higher we climb the ladder, the more well trained in obedience to the Lord we will get. Think of troops in the military. When they first enter, they have trouble shouldering their arms and marching. But as time goes on they get better and more disciplined. It's like that with the Lord. The more we follow God and become obedient to Him, the more stronger and obedient we become.

Sometimes I wonder if I lose everything and I'm broken, homeless, dirty, torn, and frail; will I still glorify God? Will I still be obedient even until the long painful end? We must all think about this as well. Talk is cheap, so let's not all proudly say we'll glorify God always and then deny Him 3 times before the rooster crows. Instead let us do these things by action. Let's be obedient to God everyday and take up our cross and follow the Lord as He commanded.
